Teferi Mekonnen

Teferi Mekonnen was born in Addis Ababa in 1974. He graduated from the Addis Ababa University School of Fine Arts and Design with a Diploma in 1996 and completed his degree with Distinction in 2007. He has been self-employed since then, creating logo designs besides other assignments for various commercial enterprises. He currently operates out of his own studio, catering to individuals, hotels, offices and other organizations. His work has been showcased around Addis Ababa at several hotels and offices, namely:
• A sculpture for Ethiopian hero Balcha Aba Nefso in Bantu City
• Sidama Lodge in Addis Ababa
• Hotel Mosaic Art Flower Festival in Holleta City
In addition to this, his art is also a part of numerous private collections around the world.
