Gashahun Kassahun

born in 1980 in Woliso, Ethiopia, is a multidisciplinary visual artist renowned for his exploration of spirituality, identity, and cultural heritage. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the Addis Ababa University School of Fine Arts and Design in 1999.
In 2011, Kassahun furthered his studies by majoring in painting at Entoto TVET College. Between 2017 and 2018, he served as an art instructor at Entoto TVET College in Addis Ababa.
His artistic practice is characterized by a fusion of traditional Ethiopian art forms with contemporary techniques, creating a unique visual language that reflects his cultural heritage and personal experiences. Kassahun's work has been showcased in various exhibitions throughout Ethiopia, including the Millennium Heal group exhibition entitled 'Art For Peace' in 2018, and solo exhibitions at the Lela Ethiopian Contemporary Art Gallery in 2015.
