Bethel Getu

born on August 16, 2000, in Holeta, Ethiopia. She received her BA in marketing management from St. Marry University in 2022, and she also got her BA in printmaking from Addis Ababa University, Alle School of Fine Arts and Design 2023.
Bethel is a printmaker, photographer and photo model. Also she does digital art and singing. In her artworks she always wants to experiment with different techniques and different mediums. Inspiration for her creation can take various forms, experience, sound, written words, interviews , music, movies , nature…There is no end to the sensory immersion that may occupy her mind. Combining inspiration with reflection of thought and adding emotions Curiosity, impassivity, fear, passion, joy, disgust, hope, calm etc. This compulsion to articulate thinking and emotion is the fuel of her artworks. To express these ideas, she uses portrait, human figure gestural perspectives, and self-portrait , shadow photography.
