{B. on October 8, 1970}, in Asmara, Eritrea, Bold zigzags and vibrant stripes create an arresting first impression in the paintings of Ameneshewa Admassu., Ameneshewa developed a deep passion for art from an early age. His journey took him across continents, shaping his artistic vision through diverse cultural experiences.
After completing his primary education in Dessie, Ethiopia, Ameneshewa moved to Cuba as a teenager with his family. It was during this period that his love for art flourished. He later pursued formal training at the Escuela Nacional de Arte (ENA) in Havana, where he earned a BA in Fine Art, specializing in painting and sketching, along with a qualification as a professor.
Following his studies, Ameneshewa built a distinguished career as a painter, producing remarkable works and exhibiting in various national and international exhibitions. His pursuit of artistic growth led him to Castilla-La Mancha University in Cuenca, Spain, where he obtained an MA in Fine Art.
Upon returning to Ethiopia, Ameneshewa joined Addis Ababa University as a lecturer, sharing his expertise in Painting, Drawing, and Manual Design Drawing. Through his dynamic compositions and rich artistic background, Ameneshewa continues to inspire students and the broader art community.
